Karim Mecklai

CEO

For the last 9 years Karim has held the position of Vice President of Business Development and Chief Financial Officer at a Toronto-based asset management company. Previously, Karim worked at Portfolio Strategies Securities Inc., B2B Bank, Beacon Wealth Management, Dundee Wealth and Assante Wealth Management. During his time at Assante, Karim was registered as a Regional Vice President for the Central Canada region. Karim holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of British Columbia.

Fiona Fitzmaurice

CFO

Ms. Fitzmaurice is an ACCA chartered certified accountant with over 15 years of experience in accounting and financial control for both private and publicly listed companies including companies listed on the TSX Venture Exchange. Based in Toronto, Ontario, Fiona has significant experience as CFO of a number of exploration and cannabis companies and has been involved in numerous private placements, prospectus filings, flow-through financings and corporate audits. Ms. Fitzmaurice holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from Athlone Institute of Technology, Ireland.

Edward Milewski

Director

Mr. Milewski is an accomplished senior executive and has worked as a financial advisor with various investment firms for 35 years. He established a professional consulting firm, ERM Consulting, in 2012 which provides independent advice to public small cap companies across Canada. He is currently co-host of the investment show “Midas Letter Raw” which provides fundamental and technical analysis and advice on the current Canadian markets. Mr. Milewski graduated from University of Windsor with a B. Comm in 1973. Edward obtained his CA designation in 1976. He previously served as a director of Pasofino Gold Ltd. and Western Troy Capital Resources Inc. Due to Edward’s financial background, knowledge and experience working in capital markets and having previously served as director of publicly traded Companies, the Company feels he will be an excellent fit for this role as an independent director and will strengthen the Company’s board.

Alex Kanayev

Chairman

Alex Kanayev, MBA, CPA, ICD.D is a co-founder & Chairman of AIP Asset Management and a Member of the Advisory Board. He sits on the board of several companies and is Managing Partner at AIP Private Capital. Previously, he worked as Senior VP at a sub-advisor to a Sprott Fund and was Portfolio Manager at BMO Financial Group. Alex received his MBA from Schulich School of Business at York University and is a CPA charter holder and has an ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors. In 2014, Alex was a nominee for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award.

Jay Bala

Jay Bala, CFA is the CEO and Senior Portfolio Manager of AIP Asset Management. Mr. Bala is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in portfolio management and investment analysis, he has built a distinguished career in the financial services sector. Mr. Bala holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance from the University of Toronto and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter holder. His expertise and leadership have been recognized in the industry, as evidenced by his nomination for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2014.
